German Village Engagement Session- Austin and Alannah

I loved being able to spend a Monday evening with this couple! They told me right from the start that they are super not photogenic, but they definitely were lying to me 🙂

We planned on starting our session at Stauf’s Coffee in German Village, but when we got there, it was so crowded! Not only did I want to avoid having random strangers in the background of all their photos, but I knew that it would feel a bit awkward too, posing and being all lovey in front of so many people.

So we switched to plan B and decided to walk around the area a little bit. And I’m so glad we did! German Village is full of adorable quaint homes and tree lined brick roads. We found some pretty little spots, and I realized that I think I need to shoot more on some of these back roads!

We finished up our shoot with golden hour at Schiller Park. It was kind of fun- there was a Shakespeare play happening, so we got to enjoy some random screams and murder scenes while walking around lol.

Austin and Alannah, thank you so much for letting me capture this amazing time in your lives! I can’t can’t can’t wait for the wedding day and I promise I won’t leave you guys without direction for too long 🙂
