I'm a lover of love who is addicted to Starbucks and goes through weekly phases of favorite foods. I'm a wifey to a firefighter and a dogmom to a grumpy Whippet. I love having lunch dates and dream of traveling the world.

The Key to Customer Satisfaction- Photography Business Education

fall pumpkins

What’s the secret to customer satisfaction? It’s really no secret at all:

Underpromise and overdeliver.

You’ve probably heard this phrase a hundred times as a business owner. But what does it look life in real life? Take a look at some of these examples.

  • Let your clients know that when they book your services, they’ll get a welcome guide/ style guide/ wedding guide in the mail. Don’t tell them that you also include branded cookies, monogrammed stationary, or a gift card to the best burger place in town.
  • Let your bride know that she can reach out to you anytime if she has questions or needs assistance with planning. Don’t tell her that you send out periodic emails just to check in and offer vendor suggestions.
  • Let your clients know that you’ll have a final consult with them before their session or wedding. Don’t tell them that you’ll also be bringing a small gift and handwritten note.
  • Let your clients know that you’ll post a sneak peek on Facebook a week after their wedding. Don’t tell them that you’ll also be posting the blog recap.
  • Let your couple know they can expect their wedding images in six weeks. Don’t tell them it’ll actually be five.
  • Let your clients know they’re USB has shipped. Don’t tell them you also gifted a few fine art prints.

Get the idea? You already have your client experience in place, but that doesn’t have to mean your clients should know every detail of that experience. Wow-ing them will go a long way in how happy they are in working with you!
