I'm a lover of love who is addicted to Starbucks and goes through weekly phases of favorite foods. I'm a wifey to a firefighter and a dogmom to a grumpy Whippet. I love having lunch dates and dream of traveling the world.
It’s been a little while since I’ve posted an update on my health!
A little over two years ago, I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. It’s been quite a bumpy ride since then, but I’m happy to say that things seem stable!
I feel like I’m finally on a good combination of medications, and the side effects have been pretty minimal. I still have bad days for sure, but they seem to be less intrusive than they were. Even on the bad days, I can usually still function normally.
I think a lot of why I’ve been feeling better too, is that I’ve been learning my limits. Of course, I learned all of them the hard way. But I’m having an easier time finding that line of “too far” before I cross it.
My plan going forward is to incorporate some more movement in my life (not just on wedding days haha) by walking and doing some low intensity exercises. That’ll definitely be easier to do now that the weather is warm. I’ve also been trying to cut back on sugar (which is sooo hard for me!) and being more balanced in my diet. And I’ll be continuing to use essential oils for those days when I just can’t beat this stuff on my own.
Hoping things continue to go in a positive direction! And thank you to everyone who always understands and supports me on my bad days!
