Water’s Edge Wedding Venue | Wedding Photographers in Columbus Ohio

This wedding was such a special event! 24 hours prior, I received a message from a sweet photographer who had come down with bronchitis and was basically forbidden from her doctor to shoot the wedding! I can’t imagine the disappointment and stress she was feeling! Thankfully I had the 21st off, so I was able to fill in!

I’m not saying that it was meant to be for me to photograph this wedding, but it kinda felt like it was meant to be. As soon as I walked in the door, I was greeted by Shelby’s parents who were so warm and welcoming and appreciative that I was there. I went upstairs to meet Shelby and she was so grateful she could cry. And then she told me that one of her bridesmaids was in a wedding I shot this past July, and will be in another wedding I’ll be shooting this coming July. Not meant to be at all.

The whole day was so wonderful! There were tears and laughter and surprises around every corner! Shelby’s dad gave one of the most heartfelt speeches, talking about the day his baby girl was born. Shelby surprised Nathan with a pristine classic car to take photos with. And the two of them surprised all their guests with a high energy dance to Space Jam.

Nathan and Shelby, it was such an honor and pleasure to meet you both and document this amazing day! Thank you SO MUCH for putting your trust in me on what could easily have turned into a disheartening and nerve wracking situation! And a huge huge huge thank you to Sam and Grace for reaching out to me!
