Hindu & Indian Wedding Photography at Bertram Inn in Aurora, OH
If you missed the blog post on Friday’s celebrations, check it out here!
What an experience!!!! Last weekend at the Bertram Inn was literally a dream come true for Bana and I! We’ve always wanted to shoot an Indian wedding! As much as I love my couples and the weddings I get to be a part of, sometimes it’s nice to document something different, ya know?
I’ll be honest, I was super super nervous walking into this. I didn’t know what to expect, even though I had talked to every photographer I knew who has shot an Indian wedding, and looked up countless blog posts about them. Robin and Prianka put my mind at ease from the second we met! They are both so sweet and so much fun!
Friday and Saturday is kind of a blur to me, so it’s been wonderful to relive the weekend through editing! One thing I’m sure I’ll never forget? Taking a limo to Taco Bell!
Robin and Prianka, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for having Bana and I (and Maria!) with you for this amazing celebration!!! We loved every single moment!
Saturday’s Celebrations
Saturday was the longest I’ve ever shot! 15 hours!!
The day started with Robin’s Sehra Bandi. This is a ceremony especially for the groom and his friends and family. While Prianka was getting ready for the day, Robin had the Baraat where he mounts a white horse. You guys, it was like a super fun dancing parade!! Definitely a highlight of the weekend!
The ceremony kicked off with Prianka receiving Robin’s Baraat. They exchange garlands while family members from the bride and groom’s sides exchange garlands and gifts. After a quick outfit change for Prianka, the traditional Hindu ceremony took place.
We all piled in the limo and went to Chagrin Falls for portraits! We decided that since it was so unbelievably hot outside, we’d take the limo over to Taco Bell and refuel! I sure hope that isn’t the last time my bride and groom want Taco Bell on their wedding day!!
When we arrived back at the hotel, Prianka went through a total hair, makeup, and outfit transformation! What bride wouldn’t love 3 outfits on her wedding day??!! Now the real party began with delicious food, cake, emotional speeches, and some of the best dancing I’ll ever see in my life!
